FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: July 22, 2024
Minneapolis, Minn.—

BWF is excited to announce new expansions and service offerings from its Engagement and Donor Experience division. In addition to annual giving, digital marketing, and strategic communications, the company now offers services in donor relations, donor experience, and video. With these new services, BWF is well positioned to help clients articulate and achieve their vision for growth, impact, and increased donor engagement over time while enhancing the overall client experience with a broader array of services.

Adding these new areas of focus is part of BWF’s strategic vision and allows the company to deliver the best modern engagement strategies for our clients. Bob Guittard, executive vice president, Engagement and Donor Experience, says, “The entire team is excited to now be able to offer a full complement of services to enhance our clients’ ability to connect meaningfully with their donors, inspire their generosity, and retain them over time. Simply put, we are about building the pipeline of donors, cutting through all the noise out there to truly connect with donors’ hearts, and doing this at scale so nonprofits can get back to net growth again in both donors and revenue. Doing so will mean creating a healthy, diversified fundraising program set to scale for the future.”

Expanding the Engagement and Donor Experience division provides clients with new ways to continue engaging their major donors and, more importantly, investing in their everyday donors. Doing so creates a more stable, diverse base of giving and fosters resilience. By focusing on the breadth of philanthropy and the entire donor journey, BWF’s services in annual giving, direct marketing, communications, video, and donor stewardship will positively impact a nonprofit’s ability to grow major gifts, boost donor retention and loyalty, develop the pipeline, build capacity, and increase donor lifetime value.

Having recently completed the full acquisition of the company {{firstname}}, BWF is now able to offer video services that deliver authentic, high-impact video content at scale through Video Ambassador Teams. In addition, BWF can support campaigns and direct marketing efforts through full-service video production. Video is an essential communication tool today, one that conveys messages in a more personal and emotional way and helps donors connect with a cause on a deeper level. Adding video expertise creates additional team synergies across the division and complements our multichannel, dynamic approach to communicating with and engaging donors.

During the past two years, the video team has been delivering authentic video created to reverse a multi-year trend of declining donor counts and generating positive results for clients. George Washington University (GW) invested in a video-first donor engagement and digital warming strategy to prepare donors and prospects for student outreach and solicitations. After one full year in 2023, the partnership with GW had reversed the donor decline with substantial wins at the campaign level and a nearly 5% gain in total donors year-to-date from the previous year (nearly 10% in year two). The addition of video, together with strategic communications, further complements BWF’s comprehensive annual giving services that include print and digital production to fully manage fundraising appeals.

BWF’s Engagement and Donor Experience team members are ready to deliver targeted strategies and tactics that get results and amplify the efforts of nonprofits to reach, connect with, and sustain relationships with their donors. Notes Guittard, “We’re in the business of helping nonprofits achieve their dreams of making a positive impact in the world and in people’s lives. With these recent expansions to our division, we couldn’t be more excited about our team’s ability to help nonprofits do that year over year.”
