Anshuman Chandra
Anshuman (Anshu) Chandra describes his passion for philanthropy in two ways. As an observer, he finds the impact of the “collective good” incredibly inspiring. As a participant, he fully believes that if he has helped ease the burden of even one person during his lifetime, he will have led a meaningful life.
As a director with the campaigns and fundraising strategy division, Anshu’s expertise helps BWF’s national and international nonprofit clients raise more philanthropic support to fulfill their missions. When working on client engagements, his areas of focus are acquiring data, synthesizing and analyzing data, crafting recommendations, and creating action-oriented recommendations, as well as providing additional client support as needed.
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.” Buddha
Anshu is passionate about giving back to his community. He serves as a chief volunteer officer/board chair for the Sioux Falls Family YMCA, vice president of the board for the Museum of Visual Materials, and board member for Journey of Hope.
In his free time, he loves to cook, travel, read, paint, and enjoy the outdoors.
